Apartment Review for Arbors On Saratoga - Corpus Christi, TX

I have lived at the Arbors for roughly a year and a half. It used to be a great place to live, with great management. In the last six months or so the management changed and everything went downhill. The management will find every possible way to nickel and dime you. They charge a mandatory $15 a month for a "valet trash service" which is completely unnecessary. The office finds all sorts of ways to extort money. I recently received a $50 fee for a late rent payment. Although I paid my rent on May 3, the first business day of the month, I still received a fee. Despite the fact that I work and my bank is closed on weekends, the management did not care at all and suggested I should have come in and paid with a credit card. Oh by the way, there is a $25 fee to pay with a credit card. The office is very difficult to deal with and the manager, Felipe, is nothing more than a maintenance guy with an elevated psuedo-title. Seriously, when I moved in he was a maintenance guy. For the price, there are plenty of comparable apartments just blocks away. Do yourself a favor and avoid the Arbors. P.S. to echo another reviewer I read, the water does get shut off for repairs often. I would estimate at least 4-5 times in the last year.
