Apartment Review for Islander Village - Corpus Christi, TX

My daughter lived here for 2 semesters. Two of her room mates partied often and my daughter had to leave and go elsewhere to get some sleep more than once. On move in day the washing machine was not hooked up correctly and flooded the kitchen. In Nov the hot water heater connection broke...they called the office FOUR times and got no response. Finally one of the basketball players was able to get the water turned off. My daughter's room was flooded...maintenance came in moved all of her stuff onto the bed, ripped up the carpet and put industrial fans in the room for several days. Again, she could not sleep there. Then when she could not pay rent on time because her checkbook was lost in the mess.....no one cared and charged her 25 dollars a day, which she payed. But it was never credited to her account. Also, she was charged when she moved out for damage to the carpet. The management lies. Be sure to pay for everything with a check AND get a written receipt. The parking lot is littered with beer cans and cig butts. Find another better place to live. Between the party animal, theiving room mates and the dishonest management I think we are out 1000 dollars.
