Apartment Review for The Shores - Corpus Christi, TX

Wow, where to begin? This place is a nightmare. I can hear my neighbor snoring every night through the wall. I can hear the people above me walk around, and I hear their phone ring. On top of that, even if the neighbors didnt exist, there are some weird noises that come from the ceiling and walls like water dripping and loud clicking noises. I have to wear ear plugs every night or turn the a/c fan on indeffinitly just to mask the noises. The building I am currently living in is new; built after the old building burnt down a few years back. The construction is cheap and is already falling apart, and there is only about 2 inches of drywall between you and your neighbors. Also there is a huge roach infestation. They are everywhere here. You practically have to sleep with them. The management is a total joke too. When I had a problem, I was literally yelled at and scolded for contacting them after business hours (it was an emergency, which is a whole different disaster in itself). Cars are not safe here. My vehicle has been broken into 5 times in the past year and completely stolen once. My girlfriends car has been broken into 6 times. I have seen many other windows broken out too. There isn't a stereo in my girlfriends car anymore because we were sick of replacing it. We will get a new one when we move away from this hell hole. Also, the landscaping people come with their leaf blowers and blow leaves all over your car, and IN your car if your windows are down. They have no respect for vehicles here. I got 2 pounds of leaves blown in my new car, and the landscapers lean on the cars as they blow dirt and leaves all over your car. If you remotely care about your car, saftey, or just general peice of mind, I would suggest living some place else.
