Apartment Review for The Wharf - Corpus Christi, TX

Pros: For the most part, the Wharf has been a good experience. There are probably better places in Corpus Christi to live if you keep looking. The water view was nice. Management was friendly, but a little unefficient when it came to getting things done. Cons: There are a lot of college students here as well as working people with children. Loitering in some areas could reach the point of making someone uncomfortable. The electronic gate at the entrance was never fixed as promised and thus stayed open for the 6 months while I was here. There are 2 pools, but only one was open all summer long, and was frequently filled with screaming kids. The whole complex was without hot water for a week, but I do think that was a major incident. When I spoke to management, they said they had to have someone actually bust up the parking lot to fix a water main, so that probably wont be a frequent problem. The interior could use some work. The cabinets appear to be the originals from when the complex was built in the 1980's, and the walls and trim are all painted the same color and show signs of years of painting over. The carpet was pretty dingy too. Overall, it's not bad, but don't expect paradise. If I had it to do over again, I would look somewhere else. Parking could be a problem for some due to the layout of the parking lot. there was never a problem at my apartment, but others had people parked illegally because the had no spaces near thier door
