Apartment Review for The Wharf - Corpus Christi, TX

I have been living here for almost a year, and have come to realize that this place is a complete dump. The water view is nice, but it costs you 50 bucks extra a month. They say that they are income based apartments, but when I moved in my rent was 670 a month for a two bedroom, and my income was 7.00 an hour. Everyone I talk to says that they are paying less than that, including all of my friends that live in the complex, but the office tells me that anyone who says other than them is lying. It is impossible to get anything fixed, for example; the upstairs air conditioning was leaking down into our apartment. I told the office on at least three occasions, the carpet in the hall was soaked. I t got so bad that the ceiling in the front bedroom was about to come down. after at least a month, they finally fixed the problem with the upstairs air conditioner, and theyt even sent someone to dry out the carpet. They told me that they would clean the carpet, it has been like five months and they still haven't done so. They ripped the facing off of a quarter of the ceiling in the front bedroom, and have yet to fix that. I would not recommend that my worst enemy move in here (although he lives next door anyway). I was having trouble woth my nextdoor neighbor, so was everyone else (death threats, destruction of personal property, so on). We all complained to the front office, and they refused to do anything. He was also selling drugs. I finally had to take matters into my own hands and beat the crap out of him, that seems to have solved the problem. The lease I signed was for a two bath apartment, they deliberately lied to me to get me to sign the lease, it was a one bath, and they would do nothing to fix the problem. Do not move in here under any circumstances.
