Apartment Review for The Wharf - Corpus Christi, TX

The staff is nice... up until you sign the lease and then they stop caring. I had to call maintenance three times last summer to fix my AC because it was not working, and Tony, the head maintenance guy told me to my face that he did not believe there was a problem with my AC because I kept it on 79 and there was no way it was "freezing up." He even began no-showing when I asked for maintenance because of it. It took it breaking THREE TIMES in ONE MONTH before they would even look at it. On top of that, upon move out I have been charged for ALL carpet removal. There were no stains or anything on it, nothing. I have never been charged anything in my LIFE from an apartment and they kept all my deposits and are also charging me $200 which is outrageous. I am disputing it today. If you like to live in a ghetto, where there are always cops coming to the rescue, then live here. If you want to pay money to air condition the outside because there is no insulation, live here. If you want to live in a dirty apartment because of poor ventilation, then live here. My neighbor had $2000 stolen out of their apartment the day maintenance came to fix something, and nothing was ever done about it other than a police report being filed. They don't care that sick, feral cats are running around loose, and when your pet gets fleas because of them, they charge you for bombing your apartment. It is ridiculous, unprofessional, and unsafe. Don't make the same mistake I did.
